We will be celebrating Evangel’s long and rich history in the WNY community on Sunday August 27th!

 

Evangel Assembly of God had its beginning in the fall of 1923 in a room over a garage on Ferry St. in Buffalo.  From there, land was purchased and construction began in 1928 on a new church bldg.  1964 brought a whole new season to Evangel as the church was sold and brand new construction began at the corner of Ayer and Maple in Williamsville.  In 2010 a new chapter began again as Evangel purchased a former church building just down the road and is its current home at 8180 Greiner Rd.  

Thousands have passed through the doors over this hundred year span.  Some have only stayed a short time while others have been attending for decades.  Lifelong friendships have been established as well as many marriages and growth of families along the way. There is much to be celebrated!

 

Please join us on this very special day as we celebrate with current members and reconnect with former  attendees!  It will be a day to remember and to God be the glory! 

 

A special celebration service will be held at 10am on August 27th, 2023 with outdoor events to follow from 12-4pm.   We will celebrate rain or shine!  We can’t wait to see you all there!
