Our Vision at Evangel Assembly of God
That Evangel would become a place where people want to be:
- A place where we can build a relationship with Jesus Christ and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill God's plans with our lives
- A place where worship God is free and enjoyable
- A place where we can build trusting relationships with others and learn to trust and depend on one another
- A place where our children are safe and can also grow in these areas
- A place where we can bring those family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, acquaintances, etc, whom we would want to attend church
- A place where we can invest in the kingdom of God and cooperate rather than compete
Our Purpose
To become the church where our dreams can be fulfilled for our lives, our families, and our community so that God can be glorified in our world.
How can this Happen?
- By building an atmosphere where people want to attend
- By helping believers develop a healthy and daily relationship with Jesus Christ
- By building the body of Christ
- By prayer
- By forgiving one another, stopping destructive and sinful behavior, and accepting others
- By building a family established on biblical principles
- By breaking up all fragments in the church and building unity
Developing the following "What If" statements:
- We, as Christians, were truly known for our love?
- The world saw only love when they looked in our direction?
- Our love for the lost overpowered our love for self?
- Our love was filled with gratitude, grace and generosity?
- We really reached our between our Sunday services?
- We looked for opportunities to love people?
- We prayed for people and they were actually healed?
- The world heard loving conversations from our lips?
- All our relationships were motivated by true love?

How do we get "pillars" in church to reach out to "new/young" visitors/Christians?
- Invite them to our homes
- Encourage all to minister to others
- Sit in a new seat
- Understand the concept "pouring into another person's life"
- Disciple others
- Find 3 people you do not know and discover 3 things about them
Keys to this happening:
- Faithfulness to church
- Commitment to Jesus Christ
- Servant's heart to people
- Loyalty to leadership
- (Me) staying the course
We need to be a Faith Community serving our community with love and commitment.
